I just tried out Google’s new voice recognition in the search window. Here are the results of my first three attempts:

a large pizza recognized as on our street

kebab recognized as obama

meat and potatoes recognized as new number for girls

However, I’m not disappointed. Quite the contrary. It occurred to me that I was a rather narrow-minded searcher who was stuck in old habits. Google helped me open my eyes and embrace topics beyond “food that I’d like to put in my mouth right now.”

For this, I am grateful.
